Quantum mechanics of a molecular system adsorbed on a dielectric surface.

چکیده
A molecular system adsorbed on a dielectric surface is modeled as a damped harmonic oscillator driven by a sinusoidal external force. The exact propagator and wavefunction through the Feynman path integral method are obtained. The second-quantization of this system is carried out. Expectation values of several physical quantities are evaluartd. The amplitude for transitions between harmonic oscillator states and damped driven oscillator states are obtained explicitly, and the result is applied to a two-level system. Quantum Mechanics-Molecular Mechanics Model Study of some Antibiotics and Vitamins in Gas Phases: Investigation of Energy and NMR Chemical Shift
The combination of Quantum Mechanics (QM) and Molecular Mechanics (MM) methods hasbecome alternative tool for many applications that pure QM and MM could not be suitable. The QM/MM method has been used for different type of problems, for example: structuralbiology, surface phenomena, and liquid phase. In this paper we have performed these methods forsome antibiotics and vitamins and then we comp...
متن کاملThe Effect of Exchange-Correlation Holes on the Temperature Dependent Dynamic Dielectric Function of Single-Layer Quantum Wells and Coupled Nanolayers
In this paper, for the first time we have studied theoretically the effect of exchange-correlation holes around electrons in GaAlAs/GaAs/GaAlAs nanostructure on the temperature-dependent dynamic dielectric function of two-dimensional electron gas by employing random phase, STLS and Hubbard approximations. Also, we have investigated another interesting system which is coupled quantum wells struc...
متن کاملQuantum transport theory of vibrons in a molecular monolayer
We establish a quantum kinetic equation describing the transport properties of the vibrons in a molecular monolayer adsorbed on a dielectric substrate. A renormalization procedure is applied to the Hamiltonian of the system which is then separated in a vibron Hamiltonian, a bath Hamiltonian connected the external motions and a coupling Hamiltonian between the vibrons and the external modes. A p...
